Chipotle Bowl

I feel like sometimes you can easily get bored of something like “chicken and brown rice” and you are most likely to binge this way. You see, brown rice is probably the most popular healthy food item. And why shouldn’t be? It’s packed with complex carbohydrates, it even got some protein in there, it got some fiber, you got tons of other health benefits. But do this really have to be that boring?

So, today we are going to use our creativity to make rice a little bit more enjoyable. I’m switching to basmati rice and we will be making a Chipotle Bowl. Hold on. It gets even better because this deliciousness is going to be really high in protein as well. That’s what I call a perfect post-workout meal! You are going to need a few basic ingredients and it takes no longer than 30 minutes to make!

Like other peppers, jalapenos are a rich source of vitamin C, with almost 17 milligrams in a small pepper.

Basmati has a low to medium glycaemic index, meaning that energy is released at a slower, steadier rate leading to a more balanced level of energy.

The health benefits of lime include weight loss, skin care, improved digestion and many more.

Don’t have Chipotle in your country? No problem, make one Chipotle Bowl at home!

01 Start with this

Boil water and cook basmati rice with a little bit of salt and pepper. Cut your chicken breast into small pieces and put it in a pan on high heat.

02 Then

Prepare all your veggies for the chipotle bowl. Cut the avocado in half and chop it into small cubes. Do the same with the other vegetables.

03 Lastly

Once the rice and chicken is done, put them in your chipotle bowl with all the veggies. Put some lime juice in there and you can also add some flavour by adding some cumin and chilli powder. Now that’s what I call a perfect chipotle bowl!
