The Perfect Smoothie

I often get asked “what foods should I eat after working out?” Don’t worry I got you covered! This smoothie recipe will provide your body with all nutrients that you need to recover much faster. I always choose some high glycemic carbs for post-workout such as bananas. Also, be sure to throw in some good quality protein powder into your smoothie to hit you daily protein intake. The benefits of this smoothie recipe are endless:

superfood packed, energizing, smooth, quick, green & sweet. Ooh, I almost forgot the other health benefits thanks to my friends from Raw Gorilla – Organic, Sprouted, Raw, Gluten free, Paleo, Vegan, Grain free, non- GM, Refined sugar free, no artificial colourings or preservatives! ? Sounds like a dream, right? Well, it’s not ! So you’d better go make this nutritional smoothie recipe bomb.

cashew lucuma maca root smoothie

Cashews are naturally sweet and lower in fat amongst other nuts, yet also rich in essential trace elements.

Lucuma is a vitamin & nutrient rich fruit powder, high in fibre and praised as Nature’s dairy-free caramel.

Maca root powder is also rich in vitamins and minerals such as calcium. Perfect choice for our smoothie recipe.

I topped my smoothie with some pomegranate but feel free to add whatever you like.
